The first thing that hits you when you enter the heart of Station F is how quiet it is. Around 1,000 start-ups have their home here, and most of the desks are occupied across the three floors of open office space lined around a central column of daylight as I visit on an early winter day.  Yet the low hum drifting across the 34,000 square-metre complex has as much to do with the fact that tech entrepreneurs famously type more than they talk as with the quality of the building itself.
