A High Court judge has made an order “refusing leave” to two Cork-based businesspeople to continue a 15-year legal dispute against IBRC, the name for the merged Irish Nationwide and Anglo Irish Bank. Justice Sean Gillane also struck out a case being taken by pedigree cattle farmer Liam Philpott and his wife Anne Pounds against KPMG, while refusing their application to join the accountancy firm to their original action against IBRC.
