The operator of emergency accommodation at the Kippure Lodge has failed in a bid for retention planning permission for works carried out without the consent of the local authority which previously ordered several buildings to be demolished. Seefin Events Unlimited is currently using a site at the holiday village as a reception centre for displaced persons seeking asylum. It plans to return the holiday village near Blessington Lake and the Wicklow Mountains to its original tourism and recreation offering in the future.
