Airlines for America (A4A), a powerful trade association representing United States airlines, has filed a complaint against Ireland and the European Union with the Department of Transport in Washington in relation to the passenger cap in Dublin Airport. A4A says in its complaint filed on January 5 that it believes Ireland continues to violate EU regulations and the United States-European Union Air Transport Agreement because Ireland “seeks to impose a local infrastructure planning condition restricting the number of passengers” at Dublin Airport.
