On Saturday, December 13, there was an email exchange between Kenny Jacobs, the chief executive of the DAA, his chairman Basil Geoghegan and the company secretary, regarding an invitation to the transport Oireachtas committee to discuss governance issues amid an ongoing boardroom bust-up at the semi-state.  Jacobs had said publicly in The Irish Independent on December 9  that he wanted to attend to explain to the Oireachtas his side of the story.  Minister for Transport Darragh O’Brien, meanwhile, had blocked a proposal to pay him a large €1 million departure fee equivalent to his salary over his remaining multi-year contract…
