The owner of the site of the former City Arts Centre on the capital’s quays has officially renewed its bid to build Dublin’s tallest building at the site. Ventaway Ltd, a joint venture between developer David Kennan and Winthrop Engineering founder Barry English, bought the site in 2021. The following year, it unveiled its ambitious plans for the 24-storey, 108 metre tall mixed-use development which would house offices, an arts centre, a cafe, gym and two basement levels. Documents filed as part of the application stated that a landmark tall building was an “appropriate, well-designed and attractive addition to Dublin’s cityscape”. …
