More than 100 jobs at Boxmore Plastics in Cavan are safe for now, after its US parent company filed for bankruptcy. Missouri-based Pretium Plastics owns Boxmore Plastics Ltd in Ballyconnell, Co Cavan where it manufactures plastic bottles and containers. Pretium is ultimately owned by private equity firm Clearlake Capital. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week, in the latest effort by the US company to reduce its debt in recent years.
