A director from Doyle Shipping Group is raising a $20 million (€16.8 million) venture capital fund to invest in early-stage supply chain start-ups. Freight Ventures is led by Max Doyle, a director at the Irish shipping business and son of its chairman. Doyle is a solo general partner in the fund, which is incorporated in Delaware, and began raising late last year. He is eyeing a final close in the summer months.
