Hotelier Denis Connolly has denied selling Spanish resort Finca Monasterio under the nose of his business partner, Gerard Lane, in a premeditated attempt to defeat Lane’s legal claim for increased equity in the hotel venture. “It’s so far-fetched, it is verging on absurdity,” the entrepreneur, who also co-owns the luxury Wicklow wedding resort Tinakilly House, told the High Court on Thursday under cross-examination.
