The assets of Galway medtech and life-sciences-equipment firm Megadale have been acquired by a US company after a liquidator was appointed to the Irish business. Machine Solutions Inc (MSI) is a manufacturer of equipment for the medical-device and life-sciences industries. It has acquired Megadale’s assets for around €1.6 million. In January, the High Court appointed David Van Dessel as liquidator of Megadale. The court heard that the Galway-based firm encountered challenges in 2024 when one of its customers, a medtech multinational, postponed an €8.5 million order.
