Gallagher, the global insurance business, is appointing a new interim chief executive in Ireland after Ronan Foley announced his departure from the business. Derek Henry, who joined Gallagher in 2021 as managing director of digital distribution, has been made interim chief executive subject to approval from the Central Bank of Ireland. Henry was previously managing director of Brightside Insurance in Britain, prior to its sale to Markerstudy group in 2021.
