Salesforce is buying Irish-founded Fin, the technology business formerly known as Intercom, for $3.6 billion in one of the biggest exits ever by an Irish company. The deal, which was announced by Fin chief executive Eoghan McCabe on social media, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year of 2027.  The deal came together in a matter of months, spurred by Fin’s explosive growth this year as an AI-driven customer-agent platform.
