Medica Group, a British stock market-listed medical company, has acquired Dublin-based Global Diagnostics Ireland (GDI) for an initial consideration of €16 million. Medica bought the business from Centric Health, a healthcare group founded by Dr Maurice Cox and Dr Ray Power. The acquisition by Medica, which has a market capitalisation of over £100 million, was announced to the London Stock Exchange this morning. The deal will bring Medica into the Irish teleradiology services market.
