Declan McDonald, a partner in PwC, has prepared a report for the majority shareholder in confectionary maker Broderick’s that concludes there is “no reason” for the company to require court protection as the business is “not insolvent”. McDonald prepared his 29-page opinion on behalf of the majority shareholder in the company to support its rejection of a petition for examinership made by a minority shareholder in the business which is owned by a company called Ina’s Kitchen Desserts Ltd.
