Wellair, an Irish air purification company that has raised $30 million to date, has acquired a North Carolina-based developer of medical-grade handheld disinfection technology using ultraviolet light called UV Innovators for an undisclosed sum. As part of the deal Todd M Pope, the executive chairman of UV Innovators, has been appointed president and chief executive of WellAir.
