The deputy chairman of Davy, Kyran McLaughlin, has issued a statement that does not apologise for his involvement in a transaction that led to Davy being fined a record €4.1 million. In his statement McLaughlin, a significant figure in Irish corporate circles who previously sat on the board of Ryanair, makes no reference to any regret relating to his involvement in the deal which has been criticised by the Central Bank, the finance minister Paschal Donohoe and the National Treasury Management Agency.
