Irish Bank Resolution Corporation has launched a new legal action against former Irish Nationwide boss Michael Fingleton, and his wife, at a time when a question mark hangs over the fitness of the 83-year-old to defend himself in court proceedings. In the latest move, the special liquidators of IBRC are suing the couple over a 2009 property transfer in which the banker is said to have assigned his interest in the family home in Shankill, Co Dublin to his wife Eileen. Around the time of the alleged transfer, the property was reported to have a value of approximately €3 million. …
