The date March 15 was fitting, a year to the day since pubs and restaurants first shut up shop because of Covid-19. The owners of the Headfort Arms Hotel in Kells, Co Meath marked this milestone by having their business interruption claim against Zurich insurance lodged in the Commercial division of the High Court. Weeks earlier in the Commercial Court, four pubs secured a landmark victory against FBD Insurance after it refused to pay out on covid claims.
