Teneo, the communications giant co-founded by Tipperary-born businessman Declan Kelly, has a communications problem. The company calls itself a CEO advisory service. It says it offers CEOs a suite of trusted advisors in everything from management consultancy to communications, finance, restructuring, recruiting and political intelligence. The media sees it differently. The New York Times calls it a “constellation of influencers”; The Washington Post says it’s part of “Bill Clinton, Inc”. Politico says it “gave clients rare access to the [Clintons] and their network of world leaders”. The Financial Times simply refers to it as “politically-connected Teneo”.
