Later today, Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe will address an international tax seminar organised by his department to update the Irish business community and tax practitioners on progress towards a global agreement on the taxation of multinationals. Among the speakers, Pascal Saint Amans, who leads the talks under the banner of the OECD international organisation, will update participants on progress towards the deadline of July 9. On that date, in Venice (or online), Donohoe will join his counterparts and central bankers from the G20 countries, which account for 80 per cent of the world’s GDP, hopefully, to seal the deal.…
