For years now, Arlene Foster’s position within the DUP has been the subject of speculation. All questions and speculation ended on the 27th April when the Newsletter’s Sam McBride reported that Foster, “may not be leader within days.” The following morning, Arlene Foster announced that she would be stepping down as DUP leader later this month and as First Minister in June.  Foster’s resignation statement was positive but tinged with sadness.
