The Irish Racehorse Trainers Association is in financial difficulty since a High Court jury found it orchestrated a defamatory campaign against the Turf Club’s head of security following an anti-doping crackdown. The Court of Appeal has heard the IRTA is “impecunious” as it faces into a six figure legal battle to overturn the decision of the lower court on appeal.
