Property developer Patrick Kearney claims he settled a previous court action against Davy stockbrokers after its former chief executive expressly assured him that the firm had no control or interest in the purchase of his Anglo bonds, the High Court has heard. Kearney and his company Kilmona Holdings are now suing the stockbroker – which acted as his financial advisor – and the 16 former staff who participated in the Anglo bond scandal by acquiring Kearney’s bonds through an entity called the O’Connell Partnership (OCP).
