Acquiring a majority stake in Weston Airport was a complicated deal to assemble, but Limerick-based financier Derick Walshe managed to bring the consortium together, subject to due diligence and regulatory consents. Walshe has worked as an accountant for 25 years and was previously a corporate finance director in Grant Thornton until 2004.
