MMA fighter Conor McGregor is acquiring one of Dún Laoghaire’s most popular bars, O’Neill’s, as he closes the sale of his former yacht which is berthed in the south county Dublin town. Alan Geraghty, an accountant, is in advanced talks to acquire O’Neill’s at 17 Upper George’s Street in the heart of Dun Laoghaire. Geraghty is McGregor’s accountant and long-term financial advisor. Geraghty declined to comment when contacted. The 4,730 sq ft two-storey bar was put on the market by estate agent Lisney some months ago with an asking price of €800,000.
