Businessman Lochlann Quinn, the former deputy chairman of Glen Dimplex, is among the investors in the Redesdale Food & Beverage Fund, a new fund that is raising €75 million to invest in seed and early-stage food and beverage start-ups. Quinn, a former chairman of AIB, is an experienced investor who was an early backer of a number of start-ups including cloud computing specialist Ekco. The family behind Barry’s Tea has also invested in the fund which hopes to back up to 20 firms requiring seed and early-stage support.
