An interim examiner has been appointed to Premier Periclase, a magnesium manufacturing plant in Co Louth said to be weeks away from insolvency due to soaring gas prices. The court agreed to appoint accountant Neil Hughes of Baker Tilly as examiner to the the company which is facing debts of over €6 million, including to suppliers Bord Gais and Energia which are owed around €2.5 million and €900,000 respectively.
