The aviation regulator and CEO-designate of the soon-to-be revamped Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), Diarmuid Ó Conghaile, has resigned. IAA chair Rose Hynes said in a statement that Ó Conghaile had notified the authority’s board of his departure with effect from October 31, adding: “He will take up a new opportunity in the European aviation sector.” “It is the IAA Board’s intention to seek the commencement of a selection process to appoint a successor as soon as possible,” an IAA spokesman told The Currency. “In any event an interim appointment will be made from the end of October, as required.” Aviation…
