Intercom, the Irish-founded technology unicorn, is letting go 49 out of its 1,000 staff. Karen Peacock, the Intercom chief executive, informed staff this morning that it was letting go five per cent of its staff. Twenty-three positions that are impacted are in Ireland. The roles being eliminated are primarily in human resources and marketing, as opposed to its product and engineering teams where it is continuing to hire.
