A leading provider of services for adults with intellectual disabilities, autism and acquired brain injuries in Ireland has been sold to an international investment fund. The Talbot Group, which is headed up by Laverne McGuinness, a former deputy director general of the HSE, has twenty respite homes across Dublin, Meath, Louth and Cavan, which provide care for small numbers of individuals. The group also has the Redwood Care facility in Stamullen, Co Meath, a 32-bed unit, as well as multiple community care and outreach programmes.
