Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd has launched legal proceedings against the Data Protection Commissioner (DPC) in the Irish High Court.  The legal action comes on foot of a €405 million fine imposed by the DPC on Meta earlier this month. It is the highest fine ever imposed by the DPC and the second highest under GDPR legislation.
