Rural provider Wireless Connect said it is now competing with National Broadband Ireland as a result of unfair mapping exercises by Irish authorities. The European Commission disagreed.
Nine months after its signature, the contract between the Government and Granahan McCourt’s companies to deliver broadband to every building in rural Ireland has been published. Or at least some of it has.
The government has made its decision, appointing the company led by David McCourt to deliver high-speed connectivity to every home, farm and business in Ireland. The next challenge is to account for the €3 billion taxpayers will pour into the plan.
