Altada had been hoping to secure new investment from an investment company linked to Mike Lynch, the co-founder of cybersecurity company Darktrace, prior to the appointment of a receiver to the business in the last week. Receiver Grant Thornton was appointed to the business on foot of debt finance of €500,000 from four Irish investors advanced only a few months ago.  Lynch, who was born in Britain but whose parents are Irish, previously founded or cofounded UK Software firm Autonomy; AI-centre venture capital firm Invoke Capital; as well as Darktrace, a £2.7 billion firm listed on the London Stock Exchange.…
