Wayflyer, the e-commerce financier which closed a funding round that valued it at $1.6 billion, has become the latest technology company to announce redundancies that will impact Ireland. Wayflyer is letting go 200 people globally, including 70 layoffs in Ireland. This will bring its total headcount back to 300 people or about where it was ten months ago. Wayflyer employs 220 people in Ireland, of which it plans to let go 70.
