Leslie Buckley, the former chairman of Independent News & Media, has failed to time-limit discovery of documents in a legal action being taken against him by the media publisher’s former chief executive Gavin O’Reilly and head of corporate affairs Karl Brophy. Buckley had tried to ensure discovery had a cut-off date of April 30 2016, but then at a later date submitted that this cut-off date might be extended to August 2017.
