American healthcare giant the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is in advanced talks to acquire the Sports Surgery Clinic (SSC) in Santry, North Dublin. This is an important strategic move by the not-for-profit healthcare group, which already has a network of sports medicine clinics outside Dublin. The price being paid for the Santry hospital is not known, but SSC is worth considerably more than €100 million by any valuation.
