The HSE spent more than €478 million with recruitment consultancy CPL between 2019 and the end of September last year, analysis by The Currency can exclusively reveal. The spending, most of which was on agency staff supplied to 47 statutory hospitals, was revealed in figures obtained by Sinn Féin health spokesman David Cullinane. CPL, which was sold in late 2020 to Japanese firm Outsourcing Inc for €321 million, is the largest recipient of such funding in the analysis over the three-year-and-nine-month period.
