A UCD professor and chemical engineer is suing the Dublin university claiming he is being squeezed out of plans to commercialise his own groundbreaking, Hyundai-backed, nanobubble technology. Professor Niall English and his spin-off company AquaB have brought Commercial Court proceedings against UCD, research scientist Dr Mohammed Reza Ghaani, serial Cork entrepreneur John Favier and their company Nanobox, seeking damages for alleged conspiracy, and seeking injunctions stopping the defendants exploiting the patented technology.
