The Cork-based international renewable energy firm Amarenco has raised €300 million from new and existing investors and bought the UK investment fund Infracapital out of a solar joint venture, the companies have announced. Amarenco’s latest capital raise includes a €145.8 million equity injection by the London-based investment firm Arjun Infrastructure Partners, according to a filing seen by The Currency. The new minority shareholder will appoint two directors to Amarenco’s board “to accelerate its development across Europe,” said one of them, Romain Py.
