Ireland’s approach to investment management has been a bit insular.  Investment management is a global industry, a bit like commercial aircraft manufacturing. It’s highly specialised. The products are built by experts in a handful of locations. Where aircraft come from Toulouse and Seattle, investment products come from New York, Chicago, London, Frankfurt, Zurich, Hong Kong and Singapore.
