The government has approved the imminent departure of Legal Cost Adjudicator Niall O’Hanlon. The move comes four years after he was appointed to the job, which was previously known as being a Taxing Master. O’Hanlon was appointed to the role on October 7 2019 by Charlie Flanagan, then the Minister for Justice. At the same time Paul Behan was appointed as the inaugural Chief Legal Costs Adjudicator. On October 19, 2020, solicitor Barry McGee was also appointed as Legal Cost Adjudicator by the state.
