Last week Young Enterprise NI, the Belfast-based education and enterprise charity, lost its entire funding of £550,000 from the Department of Education. This cut came after the organisation had been praised by US President Joe Biden on his trip to Ireland as being “on the cutting edge of the future”. The lost funding accounts for more than half of the charity’s budget.
