At Kite Entertainment, we’ve spent the last 19 years making as much telly as possible, from Gogglebox and Fittest Family to arts and science documentaries, kids’ shows and lots of comedy. The ratings and general response would suggest we’ve mostly nailed it and occasionally missed the mark, but thankfully more the former.  The vast majority of this work has been done for RTÉ. So why, like the lads in Spandau Ballet once sang, do I find it hard to write the next line? Because, like the Spandaus sang, it’s “true” but on this occasion it’s an inconvenient and unfashionable truth…
