Three names will stand out when the history of this government is written. Micháel Martin, whose term as Taoiseach ended the Covid threat and whose term as Tánaiste has been assured and careful. Paschal Donohoe, who left the ministry of finance with the public finances in their strongest ever position and managed to secure a second presidency of the Eurogroup on the way over to Public Expenditure and Reform. The third, and possibly the one making the longest-term change, is Simon Harris, whose term as the first minister for further and higher education will see a transformation of the sector.…
