Oces Property Holdings, the company developing the iconic former Clerys building on O’Connell Street in Dublin 1, has filed a court case against billionaire Mike Ashley’s Irish company Heatons Ltd, which trades as clothing retailer Flannels. Oces is understood to be seeking that Flannels occupy its proposed site within the Clerys development or pay it compensation for store fit-out and other costs. Heatons is expected to argue that it does not have to move into Clerys. Oces is a joint venture between Dublin-based Core Capital and pan-European real estate investment manager Europa Capital.
