Humans are creatures of habit, a fact that is undeniably true. We like to do the same thing(s) over and over again, because we love familiarity and the safety that comes with it. Some people dress this up as some sort of faux intellectualism (“I wear the same black turtleneck every day so that my brain can focus instead of making other, much harder choices”), but really it comes down to the fact that Steve Jobs and Elizabeth Holmes, like you and I, are just animals that seek safety in their own unique ways.
