It’s all so terrible and all so tiring. Countries most exposed to the effects of climate change come to the Conference of Parties (COP) every year asking for help to mitigate the worst of that change only to be sent away with weasel words and promised crumbs. The latest COP process has disappointed, yet again, and expectations were fairly low to begin with. It is worth looking at the key text, a bit of which I reproduce below.
