Releasing the third report to date from Grant Thornton accountants into the hydra-headed scandal that has rocked RTÉ since last June, the chair of the State broadcaster’s board Siún Ní Raghallaigh admitted this Thursday that its findings confirmed a “significant lapse in oversight of the project”.  Top of the pile, and well leaked in advance, is the finding that there was no official written record of any approval from the RTÉ board to go ahead with the high-risk failed venture.
