Brexit has become a kind of bellwether, a sort of reeling in the years moment. Like the 1929 crash, or the 2008 crash, Brexit has taught us what happens when we make snap decisions based on an imagined and poorly planned-out future. Brexit has also taught us who we are when we must deal with the poor decisions of others. In social scientist school, you are taught not to ascribe causality casually.
