People want their jobs back. They want their lives back. They won’t get either of those things in the short term. Covid-19 will stay in our population. The world is in this for the long haul. The government must begin to communicate this. I’m not an expert in crisis communications, but it is clearly the case that we are moving from an era in which we are being told under no uncertain circumstances to venture out to an era in which in certain circumstances, we need to go out.
